The I.O.O.F. Hall

The I.O.O.F. Hall was originally built in 1851 as the Mountain Rose Lodge of the Independent Order of Odd Fellows. Completely destroyed by fire in 1854, the hall was rebuilt almost immediately and managed to survive the following terrible fires of 1856 and 1859. After the society joined with the Grass Valley lodge, they deeded the building to the town for use as a community center.
